Inscribed Diamonds Shawl

The Inscribed Diamonds Shawl features two different types of diamonds inscribed over the background of the shawl. The triangular shawl is worked from one vertex, increasing along one edge and slowly decreasing along the other. The shawl pattern is written for one main color and one contrast color, but can also be a playground for colors! The pattern includes 4 sizes, instructions to adjust the size of your shawl, and color suggestions to customize your shawl.

Level: Intermediate The pattern includes several special post stitches. The tutorial includes 116 pictures detailing each row and step by step pictures detailing the special stitches.

Sizes:

  • Adjustable: Information is included in the pattern to work more small diamond rows in the shawl body and to work a larger diamond section at the end of the shawl.
  • Small: Approximately 50.5”/ 128.5 cm wide and 19.25”/ 49 cm deep before blocking and 55.5”/ 141 cm wide and 20”/ 51 cm deep after blocking.
  • Medium: Approximately 53.5”/ 136 cm wide and 20.5”/ 52 cm deep before blocking and 58.75”/ 149.5 cm wide and 21.25”/ 54 cm deep after blocking.
  • Large: Approximately 67.5”/ 171.5 cm wide and 25.75”/ 65.5 cm deep before blocking and 74.25”/ 188.5 cm wide and 26.75”/ 68 cm deep after blocking.
  • Extra Large: Approximately 67.5”/ 171.5 cm wide and 25.75”/ 65.5 cm deep before blocking and 88”/ 223.5 cm wide and 31.5”/ 80.5 cm deep after blocking.

Yardage: Size Small (Medium, Large, Extra Large)

  • Main Color: 630 (690, 1100, 1450)
  • Contrast Color: 310 (380, 550, 925)
  • Total: 940 (1070, 1650, 2375)
